    Association For Computing Machinery (ACM)

  • They are a student chapter of a worldwide professional organization for computer scientists and others in computing-related disciplines. They seek to promote interest in computer science and other science- and engineering-related disciplines. ACM aims to provide a strong sense of community to all engineering students within the Baskin School of Engineering, with a particular focus on students studying computer science.     • Association for Computing Machinery - Women

  • From their website: ACM-W is a club that serves to educate, promote, and connect women in the computing field by bridging the gap between industry and academia. They support, celebrate, and advocate for women in the computing field by providing programs and services to advance the contribution of technical women.     • Chemistry Club

  • The Chemistry Club at UCSC strives to build a community of UCSC students interested in chemistry and related fields. The club promotes networking with professors and local industrial organizations. Opportunities for community outreach are available through teaching programs at local elementary schools in Santa Cruz and neighboring areas.     • Developer Student Club at UCSC (DSC)

  • To impact and empower students through understanding, using and reflecting about technology. DSC will host workshops, projects and other events. Follow their Instagram for more information.

    • National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

  • N.S.B.E has a strong focus on helping Black S.T.E.M  and S.T.E.M students be successful in college and beyond. Students of all majors and ethnicity are encouraged to attend.

    Their Mission statement is:

    "to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers and scientists who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community."

    • Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS)

  • SACNAS is a society of scientists dedicated to fostering the success of  Hispanic/Chicano and Native American scientists—from college students to professionals—to attain advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in science.     • Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)

  • SHPE UCSC has grown to be an organization to have recruited different types of members of all science and mathematics majors, as well as non-Latino students. Our goal is to serve our members in the advancement of their math, science, and engineering education. Our organization is also dedicated to promoting these fields to students of all school levels ranging from elementary to high school through our various outreach activities.

    • Society of Physics Students

  • The UC Santa Cruz Society of Physics Students is a community that aims to represent the interests of the physics student body, to provide a social environment for it, and to provide academic resources to facilitate the success of its students. They aim to improve the physics undergraduate experience by providing: Weekly meetings establishing a social and academic community, Mentoring services, linking upperclassmen with lower class men, Students an outlet to discuss the modification of the physics curriculum.     • Society of STEM Sisters

  • Society of STEM Sisters is an organization at University of California Santa Cruz created to empower women in STEM and helping them develop socially, professionally, and academically.

    • Undergraduate Neuroscience Club (UNC)

  • The purpose of the UNC will be to link undergraduates who share an interest in neuroscience to a community that fosters an open mind and cerebral environment. Check out their Instagram for more details.

    • Women In Science and Engineering (WiSE)

  • Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE) at UC Santa Cruz is an organization run by graduate students, which welcomes the participation of undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, staff, and professionals in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. WiSE encourages its members to engage in mentorship, networking, and outreach, as well as seminars and discussions to further learning. This enables members to interact with each other as well as the community at large and fosters the dynamic of reciprocity and support for the members of WiSE.
